BRIEF: To create a stunning garden with impact and originality, for a busy professional couple who entertain and relax in the garden. With no flowers allowed in the garden, it was designed to rely on the structure and form of plants and hedges!
DESIGN RESPONSE: It was important to reflect the internal feel of the property and the modern minimalist styling. The unusual paving and walling materials were selected to do this and they contrast beautifully with the greens of the Buxus hedging and Taxus buttresses. The grasses offer a relief to this formality as they move in the wind. Other planting is kept to bold evergreen blocks apart from the Acer 'Osakazuki' which was hand selected and positioned to give a sense of the changing seasons.
