Role over one of the squares on the left to find out more about each stage of the design and build process.

Meeting at your property allows the designer to assess the possibilities for the garden, discuss your style, how you wish to use the garden and some of the practical considerations for the space. Establishing the scale and complexity of the project allows us to provide you with a written quotation for the concept design.

The first stage is an accurate survey of the existing garden. Using this survey, the client brief, a site analysis and of course our creative input, we are able to produce a Concept Plan outlining the broad proposals for the garden. The concept plan acts as a discussion document showing how the garden could be enhanced, without setting any part of the design in stone. It is easier to change a pencil line than a concrete foundation!

Once any amendments to the concept plan have been agreed, appropriate scale Layout Plans may be drawn up to enable construction. Additional constructional drawings may be required for specific parts of the build and will be produced as required.

Planting plans show the Latin plant name, number, location and spacing of all the plants being proposed for the borders to include existing plants, new plants and those to be re-sited. It is invaluable for construction, but also has great importance for the maintenance of the garden in the long term.

If you have used our design service, the construction phase will be the natural extension of the process. We will produce a fixed price* quotation for all our construction projects and to ensure the details are all covered, a fully considered and appropriate specification of works is also produced by the designer to supplement their design drawings.

*Provisional costs may be included within the quotation for certain elements of the work. e.g. plant budgets or large excavation/ infill works.

We aim to offer our clients excellent value for money and excellent customer service. We employ our own skilled construction staff to construct and plant your garden. Specialists contractors will be engaged as required and your designer will also be involved throughout the construction of the garden. Only by controlling all the elements of the construction in this way can we deliver the highly finished gardens that we take so much pride in! Our portfolio of works hopefully speaks for itself, however, we are of course happy to provide references should you require them.
